Microsoft to rival Apple with new Zune HD digital music player

Computer giantess Microsoft has announced that the latest version of its answer to the Apple iPod, the Zune transportable media player, will go on sale in the United States on September 15.
The MP3 player, which also plays video, costs 219.99 dollars (£133) for a 16 gigabyte rendition – typically about 4,000 songs – and 289.99 dollars (£176) for the 32 gigabyte interpretation, making them cheaper than the market leader, Apple’s ipod. The ipod Approach players are priced at 299 dollars (£181) and 399 dollars (£242) separately.
The Zune HD is designed to work in tandem with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 games calm. Customers for films and TV shows downloaded for rental from the Xbox Busy Marketplace will be able to transfer the content to their Zune.
Zune HD is the first Zune archetype to feature a touch-screen interface similar to that found on Apple’s iPhone. It also offers a built-in HD Announce receiver, 720p HD video output capabilities, a Wi-Fi antenna, and a Web browser. Zune HD uses Nvidia’s Tegra intrude, an ultralow-power HD processor, to achieve high-statement of meaning output.
